Dear Robin & John,

I truly enjoyed seeing your web site, especially seeing Harley's parents featured on it. I fell in love with British Shorthairs at a cat show about ten years ago. We were just browsing with no attention to buy because we had a full house at home. We really went to see the Maine Coons but one blue BSH boy caught our eye, truly the "Cheshire Cat". After my male cat died after a long illness in 2003, I decided to purchase a BSH companion for my 13 year old domestic short hair female. I did my research and decided that a "teddy bear that purrs" was exactly what we needed. I was warned by my veterinarian to be very cautious. I was impressed that your kittens are "raised under foot", in a family home, with lots of hands-on attention and care. However, I do believe things happen for a reason. After there were no kittens available for awhile with the correct disposition for my household, I bought a male Maine Coon kitten. As luck would have it, he was from a breeder friend of yours and I finally ended up with Harley one month later. Harley is everything I wanted and much, much more. He's healthy, talkative, smart, cuddly, playful, and very, very funny. For instance, he cannot tolerate a phone going unanswered and will knock the receiver off the cradle if I don't answer it. However, he is not your typical BSH because he loves to climb to high places, especially the tippy top of the kitchen cabinets. As you said, "Harley hasn't read the BSH manual". All three cats get along great, but Harley and Otto (the Maine Coon) are best buddies. They're inseparable, or as my vet says, "joined at the hip".

I saw for myself what a wonderful life they have at your home. I purchased him with the confidence that I was getting not only a very healthy kitten, but a well adjusted one. A good start in life is crucial for all creatures.

Best of luck to you both, Gregg, and your feline family.

Sincerely,

Kathy
